Mark Johnsen is a visual artist living and working on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations in Vancouver B.C. He is the co-founder of Patio Press, a collaborative printmaking project run alongside artist Sara-Jeanne Bourget. Johnsen holds a BFA in Photography from California College of the Arts (2011) and an MFA from Emily Carr University of Art + Design (2020). His work has been collected and exhibited internationally. In 2025 he was the recipient of the Ian Wallace award for teaching excellence. He is currently an Assistant Professor in Print Media at Emily Carr University of Art + Design.
